# XGro Cart Progress Bar Privacy Policy

**Effective Date: June 10, 2026**

XGro Cart Progress Bar (“XGro”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you install or use XGro Cart Progress Bar on your Shopify store.

### 1. Information We Collect

#### a. Information from Merchants

When you install and use XGro Cart Progress Bar, we may access limited store information necessary to operate the app, including:

* Store name and Shopify store domain
* App configuration settings
* Progress bar display rules
* Cart progress bar design settings
* Target countries or market settings
* Selected products or collections for exclusion
* App embed or widget status

We do not access your order history, customer data, or payment information unless required for a specific app function — and only with your permission.

#### b. Information from Your Customers

XGro Cart Progress Bar is designed to operate without collecting personal information from your customers.

Our app works by displaying a cart progress bar based on cart value and shipping goal settings. We do not collect or store customer names, addresses, payment data, email addresses, or any personally identifiable customer information.

In limited cases, the app may process non-sensitive cart-related data, such as cart value or progress toward a shipping goal, strictly to display the progress bar correctly. This data is used only for real-time app functionality and is not used to identify individual customers.

#### c. Technical and Diagnostic Data

To improve app performance, reliability, and security, we may collect anonymized technical data such as:

* Browser and device type
* App version usage
* Timestamped activity logs for debugging and diagnostics
* Non-tracking cookies used for session functionality only

### 2. How We Use This Data

We use the information we collect to:

* Deliver and maintain the core features of XGro Cart Progress Bar
* Display and update the cart progress bar
* Support shipping goal logic and widget behavior
* Save merchant configuration and design settings
* Help troubleshoot technical issues
* Communicate updates or respond to support inquiries
* Comply with legal obligations where applicable

We do not sell, rent, or use your data for advertising or marketing.

### 3. Data Access and Sharing

XGro Cart Progress Bar does not share data with third parties except in the following limited cases:

* **With Shopify:** to enable necessary app functionality through approved Shopify APIs
* **With infrastructure providers:** for hosting, storage, performance, and security
* **When legally required:** to comply with court orders, laws, or regulations

We maintain strict internal controls to ensure access is limited to authorized personnel only.

### 4. Data Retention

We retain merchant data only for as long as needed to operate the app and meet regulatory requirements.

Most configuration and diagnostic data is deleted within 30–90 days after app uninstallation.

If required for legal, billing, security, or support reasons, certain data may be retained slightly longer under strict access control.

You can request manual deletion of your store data at any time by contacting us at:

📧 [**support@xgro.io**](mailto:support@xgro.io)

### 5. Security Practices

We take security seriously and apply industry best practices to protect your data, including:

* Data encryption in transit using HTTPS/TLS
* Server-side data encryption at rest
* Role-based access control
* Activity logging and monitoring
* No sensitive customer data stored in plaintext

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we are committed to minimizing risk through secure design, limited data collection, and continuous monitoring.

### 6. Cookies and Tracking

XGro Cart Progress Bar uses only essential cookies or session technologies required to support app functionality.

We do not use cookies or trackers for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking.

If we use analytics tools on our marketing website outside the Shopify admin, data is anonymized and used strictly for usage insights.

### 7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, such as under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws, you may have the right to:

* Access the data we store about your store
* Request correction or deletion of your data
* Object to specific data processing practices
* Request export of your data

To exercise these rights, please contact us at:

📧 [**support@xgro.io**](mailto:support@xgro.io)

### 8. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated as XGro Cart Progress Bar evolves or as legal requirements change.

We will post the latest version of this Privacy Policy and notify merchants through the Shopify App dashboard or other appropriate channels if any material changes occur.
